Featured Quilter: Kim Buzolich
I confess to being a patchwork- challenged individual. Selecting the perfect fabrics for a quilt has never come easy for me. What I enjoy most about making quilt is the quilting. That, coupled with my love of photography was a combination I was thrilled to discover. My photo quilts are essentially whole-cloth quilts.
Creating silk whole-cloth quilts have recently occupied much of my time. After taking a week-long class from Sharon Schamber and learning the design basics for quilting with minimal marking, I felt so liberated! My whole-cloth quilts are such great fun to design and sew that I refer to them as my “therapy” quilts.
Hawaiian quilts are also a passion of mine. I love hand applique and find hand quilting very relaxing in the evenings while watching TV.
